M-M-MEATBALL STEW - Original Recipe from Barb

  • Meatball Ingredients:
    lean ground beef (I used 2 trays about 1 kg in total) 1 cup quick rolled oats salt and pepper to taste 1 packet OXO beef powder 1 egg
    Mix all together and form into small balls. Bake at 300 for 20 minutes. Set aside.
    2 packs onion soup mix carrot coins 5-6 cups chunked potatoes 5-6 cups 1 can of green peas
    Add water to the onion soup mix and bring to a boil. Add the carrots and cook for 15 minutes. Then add the potatoes and cook for 15 minutes. Add the peas and meatballs and simmer for another 10-15 minutes.

  • I added a couple of drops of gravy browning and made the stew thicker by adding a couple of tbs of flour to a cup of water, shaking it and stirring it in the stew. (Both of these steps optional)
