Dad always asks for pineapple with his meatballs. I made this meal just for him.
The Meatballs
3 cups of lean ground beef
1 cup of bread crumbs
3 tablespoons garlic
3 tablespoons onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground pepper
All the ingredients are mixed together, formed into balls and baked in the oven on 325 for 40 minutes.
The Sauce
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
5 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup of water
3 teaspoons flour
Whisk all the ingredients together until it begins to thicken.
Add 1/2 cup of pineapple juice and your pineapple chunks. Continue to whisk. When it begins to thicken you can plop your meatballs down into the sauce and allow it all to simmer for about 10 minutes. Serve with rice and fries. Yum! I’m so technical with my plop technique, right?
