Mini Cinni Touton Bites

Cinnamon Sugar Touton Bites are a guilty pleasure. They taste delicious warm and will make your eyes roll back into your head. I swear. Give them a try. But only eat three. Well, maybe four, okay five, but seven is your limit. Got it? No more than ten.

  • You will need one loaf of bread dough.
  • Cut the dough into tiny bite size pieces.
  • Allow to double in size while they lay on top of a warm oven.
  • Heat about half a cup of oil in a skillet on 4.
  • Add about 6-10 pieces in the skillet at a time.
  • Brown the toutons on each side.
  • Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain.
  • Mix one cup of icing sugar with 1/3 cup of milk.
  • Add a little water or extra milk and continue to mix until it is a runny consistency.
  • Add cinnamon and mix again.
  • Pour the icing over the toutons.
  • Sprinkle again with cinnamon and serve while warm.
