I love the naked cake. There is no need to cover the cake in frosting or whipped cream. Allow the layers to be exposed. Not only does it look lovely, it also keeps the cake lower in calories and much lighter since you are not overdosing in the frosting. 

You can easily make this cake within an hour and serve it in about two hours. You'll only need a chocolate cake mix, a tub of Cool Whip, two eggs and a can of cherries. How simple can that get? You don't have to break the bank and you certainly don't need to stand over a hot stove trying to get a perfect dessert made.
