BOILED FRUIT CAKE



INGREDIENTS
1 cup (1/2 block) Central Dairies margarine
 2 cups white sugar
1 box raisins
 1 lb cherries.. I use ½ red and ½ green
2 cups boiling water
 2tspn. ground cloves
2 tspn. cinnamon
1 tspn. allspice
 3½ cups flour
3 tspns. baking soda


  INSTRUCTIONS

Boil the first 8 ingredients for 5 minutes.
Let cool. This is very important. I usually boil one day and bake the next.
Add the flour and baking soda and mix well.
Pour into COLD. well-greased tube pan.
Bake at 275 for 2 hours. (I usually do 250 degrees)
