Still not my Mother's Blueberry Grunt

Crust Ingredients:
1 cup soft margarine 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 1/2 cups flour
Cream butter, sugar and egg. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix. Press 1/2 the mixture in a greased baking dish.
Filling ingredients:
2 cups blueberries 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup of water 1 tsp vanilla
Bring to a boil. Add 2 or 3 (I did 3) tsp cornstarch to a couple of spoonfuls of water, mix and add to the berry mixture. Stir until it thickens. Pour over the bottom crust. Crumble the remaining crust over the top. I let my grandson roll it out. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
